Students
ParkC students have a unique opportunity to work in a team of researchers from multiple disciplines and universities. Laboratory based students have access to the world class research facilities at both ECU and UWA’s Experimental and Regenerative Neurosciences laboratories. Psychology students involved with ParkC’s Heterogeneity in Parkinson’s research project are trained on the administration of a wide range of neuropsychology assessments and are given the opportunity to put their skills to practical use during assessments of people with Parkinson’s. Exercise physiology students have access to the world class facilities and researchers at ECU’s Health and Wellness Institute and an eager cohort of people with Parkinson’s willing to take part in research.
Students from all disciplines and universities attend joint supervision meetings which help develop a strong sense of cohesion between the students as well as developing their presentation, analytical skills and depth of knowledge.
