Survey Research Centre
The Survey Research Centre was established at ECU in 2008 to conduct high quality health survey research for the faculty, other areas of the University, government departments and other health-related organisations and universities.
The Survey Research Centre has state-of-the-art technology to conduct telephone and field surveys and staff trained in general research methods as well as the specific techniques related to their area of expertise. Issues of confidentiality and ethical conduct in research are given priority in the initial training and are reinforced for each specific project undertaken.
The Survey Research Centre is also able to offer the opportunity of casual employment to ECU students both undergraduate and postgraduate (as well as members of the wider local community). This provides students with the opportunity to gain practical experience in administering health related surveys and other community minded surveys whilst earning an income.
