Congratulations to Gary Choney who graduated with his Masters of Science (Environmental Management) on 7 October 2012. Gary was supervised by Kathryn McMahon and Paul Lavery. His research identified the 'hotspots' for black swans in the Swan River estuary, an important component for spatial management of these iconic birds. In addition, Gary contributed to our understanding of how seagrasses, food for the swans have evolved a variety of growth and flowering strategies to survive under grazing pressure. Gary now works as an environmental officer for FESA.
