Wireless mesh networks for grain quality laboratories
This project evaluates the potential of using wireless mesh networks to improve the processes in agriculture science laboratories. A determination of the constraints in the data collection process is being made through the implementation of a collaborative project with the Department of Agriculture and Food Western Australia and the implementation of a prototype wireless mesh network. It is envisaged that this research will streamline information collection processes for other agricultural and plant laboratories.
This research project also provides a case study for applying eAgriculture techniques and tools through a wireless mesh network to improve the efficiency of data collection and processing in a grain laboratory. The project is supported by funding from Nortel.
