Preparing for thesis examination
Your examiners should be contacted ahead of time to determine their availability. You must submit a nomination of examiners form to the Faculty Student Information Office at least four weeks prior to the submission of your thesis.
Masters by Research students require two examiners. The faculty prefers at least one to be external to the University.
PhD and Professional Doctorate students require three examiners. The faculty prefers at least two examiners to be external to the University, although typically all examiners would be external.
Once you have finalised the writing of your thesis you will need to ensure that the formatting of your thesis complies with the University’s Rules. The formatting your thesis page has been prepared to provide you with further information about the University’s requirements and what you must include when submitting your thesis.
You will need to provide one copy per examiner.
