Background / Employment History
Sue Kennedy has lectured in Information Warfare, Information Security, Information Security Standards and Practice, Computer Security, Information and Network Centric Operations and, most recently, Project Management. All of these units are for postgraduate students and some have an undergraduate cohort also.
Prior to that she was the Information Security Manager for Edith Cowan University for four years and prior to that, the Y2K Director. Before Y2K she worked as an academic for 7 years, researching, lecturing and conducting courses in the areas of Software Engineering, Information and Computer Security at both postgraduate and undergraduate level.
She has extensive experience as an Information Technology professional in the private and public sectors, working in various commercial areas, such as mining, insurance and manufacturing, as well as in government and education, both in Australia and overseas. This experience stretches from programming in various languages, systems analysis and design, project management and training.
