Impact of the Cancer Council WA Life Now exercise program on quality of life, physical function and body composition in cancer survivors
Research has established that exercise is safe during and after cancer treatments and results in improvements in physical functioning, quality of life and cancer-related fatigue in several cancer survivor groups. However, more information is required regarding the impact of exercise on survivors of a range of various cancer diagnoses as well as information regarding the effectiveness of community based exercise programs. The purpose of this research study is to investigate the impact of the Cancer Council WA Life Now exercise program on quality of life, physical function and body composition in cancer survivors. Information obtained from this research will assist health professionals provide advice to patients about using exercise to help managing the side effects of cancer treatments and improve quality of life.
