ECU Surf Challenge
Established in 2003, the annual ECU Surf Challenge is an anticipated surfing event for competitors and spectators alike. Organised and delivered by the ‘Event Management’ students at Edith Cowan University (South West Campus), the event aims to promote local surfing by providing a platform for young and renowned surfers to showcase their skills. The ECU Surf Challenge is sanctioned and supported by Surfing WA, Surf Lifesaving Australia and the City of Busselton.
In 2012 the ECU Surf Challenge returns to Yallingup’s iconic Main Break on Saturday, 27 October. Thrilling surf, live music and art displays will expectantly generate a crackerjack springtime occasion. We have three competition divisions; Open Men, Open Women, and Junior Boys. With the return of previous champions defending their titles and some electrifying ‘up and coming’ grommets, fierce competition and stylish surfing will ensure a great spectacle.
The Laundry Café Busselton is our major sponsor for 2012.We thank them and our other supporters for their generosity:
- Creatures of Leisure
- Quiksilver Dunsborough
- Good Earth Surfshop
- Otis Eyewear
