“My experience with ECU started as a student when I completed a Bachelor of Science degree. I became a high school teacher and realised it wasn’t the profession for me.
I was after a career change and a new direction. I accepted a position as Student Support Officer in the school where I had coincidently studied. It was my foot-in-the-door opportunity.
Since 2006 when I started with ECU I've held five positions, each affording me with new skills and new challenges. I now lead a team of 14 wonderful staff who make my job a pleasure and I’m very happy with my career pathway through ECU.
I’m now looking forward to having my first child and the support I am receiving from ECU is excellent. I will soon go on maternity leave knowing that I can later return to the career I have worked so hard to build.”
