Graduate Diploma in Education

Semester 1 2016

Applications for Graduate Diploma of Education courses commencing in Semester 1 2016 open on 10 August. You can apply using our online admissions system.

Applications to ECU must include the following:

  • A one page personal statement on why you wish to become a teacher. The statement must be signed and have the following declaration: "I declare that this statement is my own work, and truthfully addresses the requested criteria. I understand that my enrolment may be cancelled, and my academic record annotated accordingly, if it is proved that I was offered a place based on false or misleading evidence."
  • A two page resume
  • Copies of any qualifications you have obtained (unless gained at ECU)
Please note - if any of the following conditions applies to your application you will need to submit additional documents as follows:
  • If any qualifications are in a different name to your current name, you will need to supply evidence of your change of name, e.g. marriage certificate/change of name.
  • If your secondary education and undergraduate degree were not completed in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom or the United States of America; you'll need to supply proof of English competency.

We accept applications for our Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) courses all year round. The closing date for our Integrated PhD is shown below.

2015

  • 10 July: Integrated PhD, Professional Doctorates and Masters by Research course applications close
  • 13 - 24 July: Orientation for most courses (refer to the course for more information)
  • 19 July: Open Day at Joondalup Campus
  • 27 July: Semester 2 starts for most courses (refer to the course for more information)
  • 9 August: Open Day at Mount Lawley Campus
  • 23 August: Open Day at South West Campus (Bunbury)
  • 14 - 18 September: Research Week
  • 30 October: Semester 2 ends

2016

  • 8 - 19 February: Orientation for most courses commencing in Semester 1 2016 (refer to the course for more information)
  • 22 February: Semester 1 starts for most courses
  • 27 May: Semester 1 ends
