We suggest you contact your local Governmental Education Department for information on incentives or scholarships to enable you to study in Australia.
Here are a few options, if you are from the following countries:
Canada
You may be eligible for government supported loans from the Canadian Federal Government and/or Provincial Government.

Federal Family Education Loan (FFELP)
We are registered with the US Government Department of Education to administer the Federal Family Education Loan program (FFELP) for eligible students. We have a dedicated Financial Aid Team in place to support your application of loan funding and talk you through the most difficult aspects of securing funding. Please note that you must study on-campus in Australia to be eligible.
In addition to a range of private loan products (see below) there are different types of FFELP loans available to students:

PLUS Loan
- Parent PLUS Loans: parents of dependent students can access funding for and on behalf of their children through the Federal Family Education Loan program (FFEL) Parent PLUS loan
- Graduate and Professional Degree students PLUS loans: graduate students can also apply for PLUS loan funding through the Federal Family Education Loan program (FFEL) Graduate PLUS loan.
Approved parents and eligible graduates can borrow up to the maximum Cost of Attendance minus any other aid or scholarship the student (or child) is already receiving.
In the case of the Parent PLUS Loan it is the parent that completes the MPN and forwards the original to the Guaranty Agency and a copy to us. We then calculate the loan amount and send confirmation to the nominated Guarantor or Lender. They process your loan application and co-payable cheques are drawn up, sent to parent for signing and are then forwarded onto us.
Veterans Affairs
Former US Service men and women may also be eligible for education entitlements while studying with us. Note that you must study on-campus in Australia to be eligible.
Visit the US Department of Veterans Affairs website for more information.

What next?
Once you are successful in obtaining Financial Aid in your country, you will need to send your documents to financialaid@ecu.edu.au
ECU Financial Aid staff will carry out a Needs Analysis to determine your Cost of Attendance and the amount of loan funding you are entitled to. We will communicate this information to you and you will then be required to advise us in writing the amount you wish to borrow.
After determining the total amount of loan funding, ECU will certify your loan application.
