Learning support - we're here to help
As an ECU student, you will be supported in your learning – whether you’re attending a campus or studying online. You only have to ask for help!
All students have access a range of resources – from career guidance to academic support and from free referencing software to computer access.
Academic skills support
Our learning advisors offer workshops, downloadable support materials and one-on-one consultation on things like referencing, note-taking, assignment and exam preparation, time management, using the library, report writing and more.
Off-campus (online) students can email, fax or phone for assistance.
Specialist library support
Our Faculty library teams provide specialist support for students in specific subject areas and disciplines. Services for on-campus or online students include library training, referencing, research strategies and access to other library resources.
Free printing credit
We allocate an amount of free printing credit to currently-enrolled ECU students each semester.
If you take up the offer, this credit will be allocated to your ECU Smartcard and you can use it for printing across all ECU campuses.
Free student webmail
We provide a free student webmail account to our students - we'll be using it to email you important updates about your enrolment, exams, results, library notices, events and much more.
Multimedia resource borrowing
We have a multimedia resources centre on each campus, enabling you to borrow multimedia equipment.
These centres also offer binding and laminating services.
Free referencing software
It might be a bit early for you to appreciate this, but currently-enrolled ECU students have free access to the Endnote application.
Endnote works with MS Word to create correctly formatted citations and reference lists – it will be a fantastic help for you in ensuring your assignments are referenced correctly.
Our bridging programs are aimed at students who will be enrolling into an undergraduate course and have a working knowledge of a particular subject area.
If you don’t have recent or appropriate secondary subject knowledge in an area of interest, you may be advised to complete a refresher-style bridging program prior to commencing your undergraduate studies with us.
