This double degree combines the Engineering and Laws degrees to provide graduates with cross-disciplinary qualifications. The engineering component is internationally recognised in the global marketplace and provides students with lifelong transferable skills. The law component satisfies the academic requirements for the admission of law graduates in Western Australia.
Graduates of this program will become experts in areas where both technical and legal knowledge is essential to the analysis of complex legal issues that deal with industry, the environment, intellectual property and resources engineering.
Engineering disciplines available include: Civil Engineering, Computer Systems, Electrical Power Engineering, Electronics & Communications, Instrumentation Control & Automation, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics.
This course is Commonwealth Government Supported for eligible students.
Students are required to complete practicum placement(s) as part of this course.

This course is accredited by the Legal Practice Board of Western Australia (LPBWA). Graduates of this course will be eligible for registration with the Legal Practice Board of Western Australia (LPBWA) and the ability to practise depends on successful registration.
During the course, students will be required to undertake a minimum of 12 weeks practical work experience located in an engineering industry environment. This will normally be undertaken during a vacation period, even though it is listed as a unit for Year 5 (ENS4111).

Students whose performance in the engineering units is of a high standard over the duration of the course may be awarded the Bachelor of Engineering with Honours degree.
This course is available for on-campus study by students with an International student visa.
