Prepares students for professional roles in a variety of positions in the private, corporate and government sectors which require personnel with high levels of competence in the area of exercise and sports science.
Nutrition, Health Promotion, Human Performance, Human Biology, Sports Management, Occupational Health and Safety and Psychology are available to be studied as a minor.
This course is Commonwealth Government Supported for eligible students.
Students are required to complete practicum placement(s) as part of this course.

Students considering entry into the fourth year, Bachelor of Science (Exercise Science and Rehabilitation) degree, should complete recommended electives, including SPS3121 and SPS3120 instead of a Minor. The Exercise Science and Rehabilitation degree enables graduates to gain accreditation as an 'Exercise Physiologist' through ESSA (see www.essa.org.au). Students considering entry into postgraduate studies for Dietetics must complete a recommended set of electives instead of a Minor: SCC1123 or SCC1111, SCC1226, NUT2211, NUT2220, SCH2232 and NUT3215. Students considering entry into the Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary Physical Education) using Health as a second teaching area should complete the Human Performance Minor. Students considering entry into the Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary Physical Education) using Science as a second teaching area should select 4 Performance Studies units plus 2 Science units (SCH1134 and SCC1123 or SCC1111) from the list of Recommended Electives
