Here is some general tuition fee information for international students.

You are an International Full Fee Paying student if you do not hold Australian or New Zealand citizenship, Australian permanent resident status or a Permanent Humanitarian Visa.

You may have a choice in the units you enrol in and this may change the cost. Tuition fees also change each year and you will be charged the unit price for the current year in which you are enrolled in the unit.

Bachelor of Science

This course structure will be available to students commencing the course from Semester 2, 2014 onwards.

This course structure contains information about the units which comprise the course as well as the credit points required to successfully complete it.

The Bachelor of Science award consists of 360 credit points (24 units) comprising:

Four (4) core Science and Maths units


two (2) eight unit science majors chosen from the list below (a total of 16 units)


an approved combination of four (4) units from within the Faculty or anywhere in the University;


any combination of units as approved by the Executive Dean of the Faculty.

Restrictions on the selection of units are as follows:

  • a maximum of 180 credit points at 1000 level;
  • at least four 3000 level units must be completed.

Students planning on following this course with Honours or Masters should speak with their Course Coordinator to ensure they complete sufficient units in their chosen discipline.

Students undertaking the course in Bunbury should consult the Course Coordinator about alternatives to the core units offered on that campus. *Students should consult the structures of their two majors when deciding on units to take. Where a listed course-level core unit also occurs in one or both majors, students should discuss their unit selection with the Course Coordinator before enrolling.


Students are required to register for TWO majors from the following list, in consultation with the Course Coordinator. Where units appear in both majors, the selection of substitutes requires written approval of the Course Coordinator, and must be discussed with the Coordinator before enrolling.
