Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT)

The Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) is a national test that assesses your ability to learn in a tertiary environment and be considered for one of our undergraduate courses.

STAT is administered by the Tertiary Institutions Service Centre and includes two tests:

  • Written English - tests your ability to communicate effectively in writing
  • Multiple Choice - tests in the areas of Humanities, Social Science, Mathematics and Science

To sit the STAT you need to be at least 20 years of age:

  • before 1 March to study in semester one of that year; or
  • before 1 August if you want to start in semester two.

For more information, visit the Tertiary Institutions Service Centre.
