Off-campus (online)
We offer a wide range of courses which are available for study off-campus (online).
Studying a course off-campus (online) will enable you to study the course without ever having to come to an ECU campus.
This is an option for students, who for reasons such as distance, domestic responsibilities, work commitments or disability would prefer not to relocate to study.
How does it work?
Off-campus (online) study is a mode of delivery which is predominately delivered online via our learning management system or supported by supplementary material that is posted to you - including print-based materials, online web access and CD ROMs.
You will need to have access to a computer with an Internet connection and a CD/DVD ROM drive, in order to study off-campus (online).
Textbooks
You can purchase textbooks by visiting an ECU Bookshop on one of our campuses, or by ordering them online.
Library access
The ECU Library has a wide range of resources available to off-campus students.
You can conduct research online through the library databases and online catalogue and, if you live beyond a commutable distance to an ECU campus, the ECU Library can provide copies of journal articles and books.
Examinations
If you live more than 80 kilometres from an ECU campus, a local examination centre will be nominated for you. Alternatively, you may be asked to nominate a centre from our list of partners.
Student support
As an off-campus student, living close to an ECU campus, you will be able to access our on-campus student life and learning support services.
You can access a range of these services online if you are not living close to an ECU campus.
