Area of Specialisation In Alcohol and Other Drugs
This specialisation is intended to equip students with skills and understandings that will facilitate their career effectiveness and aid the transition into leadership roles within organisations that deliver this category of public health services and programs.
It will suit students who have an interest in understanding alcohol and other drug issues in a broader societal context, who wish to understand the ways in which alcohol and other drug issues are being interpreted and addressed, and who wish to extend their skills in reducing alcohol and other drug-related harm.

The alcohol and other drug area of specialisation is intended to equip students with skills and understandings that will facilitate their career effectiveness and aid the transition into leadership roles within organisations that deliver this category of public health services and programs. It will suit students who have an interest in understanding alcohol and other drug issues in a broader societal context, who want to understand the ways in which alcohol and other drug issues are being interpreted and addressed, and who want to extend their skills in reducing alcohol- and other drug-related harm. Students are required to complete 120 credit points (6 units) to complete the area of specialisation.
