Minor In Visual Arts
This minor prepares students to visually record and respond to different stimuli. Students can gain experience in arts practice across 3 studio areas: Printmaking, Painting, and Sculpture.
Issues associated with a contemporary arts practice are discussed while students gain greater insight into art movements and cultural values and variations.

This unitset structure contains information about the units which comprise the course as well as the credit points required to successfully complete it.
The Visual Arts Minor includes two required units, VIS1303 Introduction to Drawing and VIS1305 Materials and Methods: Approaches to Studio. These units prepare students to visually record and respond to different stimuli. Two additional units selected from the three studio areas of Printmaking, Painting, and Sculpture offer an insight into arts practice. Issues associated with a contemporary arts practice are discussed in all studio units while the Art History unit offers greater insight into art movements and cultural values and variations.
