Bachelor of Education (Secondary)

Minor In Science Education

Students of this minor will investigate a range of science topics, such as the structure and anatomy of living organisms, and their physiology, life cycles and behaviour; the origin of life, cell structure and biochemistry to genetics, taxonomy and evolution; physics principles as applied to motion, sound, heat, light, radioactivity and electricity; and chemical concepts and principles.

The minor covers creating lesson plans, evaluating and rehearsing teaching strategies, safe handling of laboratory equipment and exploring the nature of scientific inquiry.

Minor structure

This unitset structure contains information about the units which comprise the course as well as the credit points required to successfully complete it.
