Master of Midwifery Practice

This coursework masters prepares Registered Nurses to become competent, confident midwives.

This course is Commonwealth Government Supported for eligible students.

Students complete their first year part-time to enable them to commence their 'continuity of care' clinical experience. The second year of the course is to be undertaken full-time.

The clinical requirement for this course mean students undertake a series of 'continuity of care experiences' where they meet regularly with women during their pregnancy and perinatal period.

Professional recognition
The course is offered over two years to support students meeting competency standards for the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council's and requirements for registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (accreditation application pending with ANMAC).
