Master of Business Administration (International)

This course structure contains information about the units which comprise the course as well as the credit points required to successfully complete it.

The Master of Business Administration (International) comprises 180 credit points (12 units) and normally requires 18 months of full time study or the part time equivalent.

The degree has the following components:

  • A core program of 120 credit points (8 units): and
  • 60 credit point (4 units) area of specialisation: or
  • 60 credit points (4 units) of elective units.

Core Units (120 credit points)

Core Units introduce fundamental business principles in eight units of coursework during which the student will develop a comprehensive understanding of the knowledge and skills required to operate successfully the management function in both domestic and international environments.

Areas of Specialisation (60 credit points)

A range of Areas of specialisation are available to enable students to tailor their MBA to their particular needs.

Elective units (60 credit points)
Elective units can be any level 5 unit offered by ECU and are subject to approval from the Director of Graduate Studies.

Students without an undergraduate degree will be expected to successfully complete any four core units as the Stage 1 of their program.

Students who are unable to complete the course and have completed 120 credit points (8 units) from the units listed above may be eligible to exit with a Graduate Diploma of Business Administration (International) with Course Coordinator approval OR Students who are unable to complete the course and have completed 60 credit points (4 units) from the units listed above may be eligible to exit with a Graduate Certificate of Business Administration (International) with Course Coordinator approval.
