* Students who have not passed WACE Physics 3A/3B (or equivalent) must complete the bridging unit SCP1132 Introduction to Physics before they can enrol in ENS1101 Engineering Mechanics.

Elective Units
To complete the BEng(Naval Architecture) students are required to choose a specialisation in Ship and Underwater Vehicles or in Yacht and Small Craft. Each specialisation requires 5 units to be chosen from the following list in consultation with the Course Coordinator. The elective units available may depend on the specialisation chosen.
To complete the BEng(Naval Architecture) students must also complete a period of 12 weeks of approved work experience as a practicum before graduating.

Bachelor of Engineering (Naval Architecture)
This course structure contains information about the units which comprise the course as well as the credit points required to successfully complete it.
This course is offered in collaboration with the Australian Maritime College at the University of Tasmania in Launceston, Tasmania. The final two years are delivered at the Australian Maritime College in Launceston and students will need to relocate to Launceston to complete the course.
In general, all units in the first two years of the course must be completed successfully before transfer to AMC can be approved.
