ATAR students

If your son/daughter is studying four courses at WACE Course Stage 2 or above, they are considered an ATAR student.

As an ATAR student, they must meet:

  • Course minimum ATAR
  • Satisfactory performance in four courses at WACE Course Stage 2 or above
  • English competency
  • The requirements of the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE)
  • Any prerequisites for the course they want to apply for

Their ATAR meets requirements

They may be offered a place in the course.

Their ATAR does not meet requirements

If their ATAR does not meet course ATAR requirements, encourage them to submit a portfolio entry for the course.

  • If successful, they may be offered a place in the course.
  • If their portfolio entry is not successful, they may be offered a place in one of our University Preparation courses, which they can use as a stepping stone into one of our courses.
