Off-campus (online)

We offer a wide range of courses which are available for study off-campus (online).

Studying a course off-campus (online) will enable them to study the course without ever having to come on campus.

How does it work?

Off-campus (online) study is a mode of delivery which is predominately delivered online via our learning management system or supported by supplementary material that is posted to them - including print-based materials, online web access and CD ROMs.

They will need to have access to a computer with an Internet connection and a CD/DVD ROM drive, in order to study off-campus (online).

Textbooks

They can purchase textbooks by visiting an ECU Bookshop on one of our campuses, or by ordering them online.

Library access

The ECU Library has a wide range of resources available to off-campus students.

They can conduct research online through the library databases and online catalogue and, if they live beyond a commutable distance to an ECU campus, the ECU Library can provide copies of journal articles and books.

Examinations

If they are living more than 80 kilometres from an ECU campus, a local examination centre will be nominated for them. Alternatively, they may be asked to nominate a centre from our list of partners.

Student support

As an off-campus student, living close to an ECU campus, they will be able to access our on-campus student life and learning support services.

They can access a range of these services online if they are not living close to an ECU campus.
