Area of Specialisation In Event Management

Designed for professionals working in event management, or those new to the field, who wish to develop their skills, knowledge and experiences in relation to the management of various event forms and the marketing and/or public relations and communications strategies relevant for event managers, alongside conceptual and practical competency in the area of event operations management.

The phenomenon of events in society, such as the cultural, economic and political impacts and meanings of a range of events, alongside motives and benefits for event consumers will also be considered.

This specialisation will be delivered across campuses. Students will be required to attend classes on both campuses to complete it.

This unitset structure contains information about the units which comprise the course as well as the credit points required to successfully complete it.

The Event Management specialisation comprises of 60 credit points (4 units) and is designed for professionals working in event management, or those new to the field, who wish to develop their skills, knowledge and experiences in relation to the management of various event forms and the marketing and/or public relations and communications strategies relevant for event managers, alongside conceptual and practical competency in the area of event operations management.
