Course Main Navigation

Master of Criminal Justice by Research

In this research course, students will conduct independent research and prepare and write a research thesis. The emphasis is on student-centred learning and high quality, confident and competent scholastic achievement in research.

This course will facilitate independent thought, and will require the student to conceive, plan and conduct a piece of research, taking into account the logistical and practical aspects of conducting applied research. The work will be judged on its theoretical coherence, appropriate use of a research method, ethical conduct of the study and data collection, correct analysis of data, and appropriate conclusions and their relevance to justice, criminology, compliance or law enforcement.
