Master of Palliative Care
Palliative care is an approach that improves the quality of life of patients facing life-limiting illness and also that of their significant others. This is achieved through the consideration of the whole person including physical, psychosocial and spiritual dimensions of care and attention to the prevention and relief of suffering.
This multidisciplinary course benefits from the leadership of many health professionals in palliative care. In addition to gaining knowledge and skills relevant to palliative care, students will gain knowledge and skills relevant to all aspects of healthcare.
Further studies
Students who successfully complete Stage 1 of the Masters can elect to exit with a Graduate Certificate of Palliative Care. Students who successfully complete Stage 2 of the Masters can elect to exit with a Graduate Diploma of Palliative Care.
