Honours
An Honours degree is a fourth year of study at undergraduate level, which typically includes some coursework units and a research thesis or project.
Most Bachelor courses offer students the opportunity to study Honours in their chosen discipline.
Some four-year degrees include Honours within their fourth year - students in these courses will be considered for an Honours award on the basis of their total course average and the final year project mark.
Eligibility
Entry to the Honours program is based on your performance in your undergraduate course plus your aptitude for research and independent study.
Students with a course average of 70% or higher are invited to participate in the Honours program for their course at the end of their final year of undergraduate study.
Students with a course average close to 70% with a demonstrated aptitude for research may be able to apply to be considered for honours.
Interested students should discuss their options and available projects with their course's Honours coordinator in their final year of undergraduate study.
