How to get into ECU

If you are currently studying Year 12, we've compiled all the information you need to know about our ATAR and non ATAR pathways, which are applicable to current Year 12s

Alternatively, if you have already completed year 12 and will be under the age of 20 either:

  • by 1 March if you want to commence a course with us in semester one of that year, or
  •  
  • by 1 August if you want to commence a course with us in semester two (mid year) of that year
There are several entry pathways you can use to gain admission into undergraduate courses at ECU as a school leaver.

Minimum admission requirements

There are minimum admission requirements to enter our undergraduate courses.

You must meet these in addition to meeting any special admission requirements for the course you intend to apply for.

  • 4 January: Closing date for portfolio applications to be considered in the Second Round of Offers
  • 17 January: First Round Offers on Tertiary Institutions Service Centre (TISC)
  • 23 January: Closing date for applications via Tertiary Institutions Service Centre (TISC)
  • 4 February: Second Round Offers on Tertiary Institutions Service Centre (TISC)
  • 8 February: Closing dates for:
    • Applications for the University Preparation Course (Education Assistant) and University Preparation Course (Education Assistant: Special Needs) close
    • Portfolio applications (and supporting documentation) made directly to ECU
  • 15 February: Applications for the University Certificate in Maintenance Engineering close
  • 16 February: Semester starts for students commencing in the University Preparation Course (Education Assistant) and University Preparation Course (Education Assistant: Special Needs)
  • 18 February: Orientation week
  • 25 February: Semester 1 starts
  • ~Mid April: Applications to courses commencing Semester 2 2013 will open, check our mid-year entry page for more information
  • 22 July: Orientation week
  • 29 July: Semester 2 starts
