As a school leaver, there are several pathways you can use to gain admission into ECU.
Dependent on your secondary studies, you may be able to enter as an:
Alternative entry pathways
If you aren't eligible to enter one of our Bachelors courses straight off, you may be eligible to enter ECU by one of our alternative entry pathways or via a university preparation course:

- Indigenous University Orientation Course (IUOC)
A specialised entry pathway for Australian Indigenous peoples - Registered Training Organisation (RTO) qualifications (Certificate III, Certificate IV, Diploma or Advanced Diploma levels)
Interstate school leavers
If you are an interstate school leaver, recently arrived in Western Australia, who has completed recognised tertiary entrance exams, you should apply through the Tertiary Institutions Service Centre (TISC).
Important Dates
2011
- 30 September: closing date for all TISC applications (late fee payable on any application lodged after this date)
- 30 September: closing date for all WAAPA applications except for Production and Design courses (late applications accepted until available audition/interview spots filled)
- 15 November: closing date for WAAPA Production and Design courses:

- 3-6 January: our student recruitment team are available to advise you about application and admission matters
- 6 January: closing date for submission of portfolios to be included in second round offers
- 18 January: Main round offers sent out
- 20 January: closing date for Teacher Education University Preparation Courses
- 24 January: closing date for second round offers and changes of preference for second round offers
- 2 February: Second round offers sent out
- 13 February: Orientation week
- 27 February: Semester 1 starts
