Portfolio entry

Our Portfolio entry pathway assesses your ability to succeed in higher education based on a portfolio of evidence.

This pathway caters for:

  • School leavers who don’t achieve an ATAR high enough for their chosen course or who will not obtain an ATAR,
  • Recent School Leavers who completed TEE and/or WACE courses and/or wholly school-assessed subjects,
  • Mature Age applicants who are over 20 years of age in the year they commence studies, who wish to enter university studies after several years away from formal education.

The Portfolio Pathway allows students to be considered for entry to bachelor courses and university preparation courses.

Applicants must meet all entry requirements for the portfolio pathway including:

  • (for 2008 school leavers and beyond) meeting the secondary graduation requirements of the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE), and
  • the prerequisites required for a particular course

Transitional arrangements for 2009 year 12s

We recognise that some 2009 year 12 students may have been disadvantaged due to the transition between TEE subjects, CAF subjects and WACE Courses and, as a result, may be ineligible to apply for entry through our successful Portfolio Pathway.

We would like to provide an opportunity for these students to apply for our courses in 2010.

With that in mind, we have agreed to a special arrangement for Portfolio Entry to be implemented for 2009 year 12s who meet specified criteria and wish to be considered for entry in 2010.
