Scholarships, awards and prizes

Scholarships and awards for ECU students can be based on equity or academic excellence and are established to:

  • support a particular group of students that may face a disadvantage whilst studying;
  • support a cause or encourage a greater focus on a particular area of study; or
  • in memory of a loved one, who contributed to a particular area of study.

Prizes recognise academic excellence in a particular unit or course.

As a donor of a scholarship or award, you will be informed of the student's progress throughout their course and will often have the opportunity to meet directly with the student. In addition, you will have naming rights for the scholarship, award or prize.

By establishing a scholarship you are providing the opportunity for tomorrow's leaders to excel whilst building your own connection to ECU.

Scholarship donator: Mrs Mac's Rural Scholarship

"At Mrs Mac’s we support a lot of community initiatives but donating the Rural Scholarships to Edith Cowan University we get to meet the recipients and see the immediate benefit to them."
