WAAPA Name Your Seat
The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts' (WAAPA) Name Your Seat program provides a unique opportunity for friends and supporters to have a naming plaque placed on a seat in the Academy Theatre, the Geoff Gibbs Theatre or the Music Auditorium.
For a donation of $300 you will receive a named plaque commemorating the support you have given or a person/s or organisation of your choice.
More importantly you will make a significant contribution to WAAPA, where your donation will go towards supporting such initiatives as:
- WAAPA's National Showcase Tour - each year our talented students showcase their talents locally and interstate in front of important agents and industry professionals.
- International festivals and events - WAAPA is regularly asked to perform at international events but these can be extremely costly for our students to attend. Your support will assist travel costs to ensure these important initiatives remain an ongoing reality.
- Artists in residence - it is essential for all our students to work with the best professionals in their respective fields. Each year WAAPA endeavours to invite professional directors, choreographers, conductors, musicians, designers and technicians to work with the students.
- Musical instruments and technical equipment - the experience we give our students is a major priority for us and musical instruments and technical equipment are just as important to their studies as are the wonderfully talented lecturers and staff who guide them.
