Description

This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to manage all aspects of pre-production for shows and events in the entertainment industry.

Students will attend on campus classes as well as engage in learning activities through ECU Blackboard.

Performance Evidence

Evidence of the ability to:plan and administer the pre-production phase for at least two live shows or eventseffectively manage complex and competing demands during the pre-production phase for at least two live shows or eventsmeet deadlinesprovide team leadership.
Note: If a specific volume or frequency is not stated, then evidence must be provided for each of the above points at least once.

Assessment

Gather evidence to demonstrate consistent performance in conditions that are safe and replicate the workplace. Noise levels, production flow, interruptions and time variances must be typical of those experienced in a live performance environment. The assessment environment must include access to a show or event which requires a range of pre-production activities.
Assessors must satisfy NVR/AQTF assessor requirements.
