Communicative language study of Japanese in a country where that language is spoken as a first, national or official language. The unit includes development of spoken and written skills through the study of aspects of Japanese language and culture at an approved institution of Higher Education. This unit is for students who have successfully completed their first year Japanese language studies at Edith Cowan University.
Students must pass 1 unit from JLS1275, JLS2202
On completion of this unit students should be able to:
Teaching and learning processes will be determined in the context of the specific course approved but would normally be expected to include some or all of the following:
Situational oral exercises, simulations, discussion groups, workshops, role-play, use of audio-visual resources, written grammatical and syntactic exercises, oral and written comprehension exercises in creative writing, guided visits to venues of social and cultural interest, such as the theatre, cinema, museums, restaurants and places of historical interest.

Students please note: The marks and grades received by students on assessments may be subject to further moderation. All marks and grades are to be considered provisional until endorsed by the relevant Board of Examiners.
