ECU’s recruitment is going..….ONLINE in ’09!
The recruitment, selection & appointments process will be automated by the installation of a web-based eRecruitment system. If you are involved in any of the recruitment activities as a hiring manager or someone assisting, or an applicant you will use the system.
Currently the University is tendering for the system and HR anticipates piloting it in the second quarter of 2009.

Reach Your Potential
ECU has a new staffing strategy being implemented in 2008 called ‘Reach Your Potential’ echoing the student campaign. This strategy will see the introduction of a range of measures and programmes designed to ensure that staff working for ECU can access support to ‘reach their potential’ at work and beyond. It is based upon the premise that even in a competitive labour market and employer that offers more than ‘just a job’ will attract and retain high-quality staff. The results from a recent staff survey about flexible working arrangements will be analysed and it is hoped that this information will enable the University to customise its workplace arrangements to better suit it’s workforce and provide the circumstances where staff are able to fulfil their potential for high performance and in so doing enable ECU to realise its strategic goals.
