Step 2 - Offer of a Place

If your application is successful, we will send you a Letter of Offer .

The offer will indicate:

A Provisional Letter of Offer may be made when an applicant has applied for a formal course of study and has met the academic requirements for admission, but has not met the English Language requirements; OR an applicant has applied for a formal course of study but is awaiting the issue of final academic results.

A Final Letter of Offer may be made when the applicant provides the University with certified evidence that English Language OR academic entry requirements have been satisfied.

Step 3 - Acceptance

To accept an offer, you must pay your first semester Tuition Fees and any other charges described in the Letter of Offer. Forms included in the ECU International Information for International Students booklet should be signed and returned. Payment details, including methods of payment, and where to send your payments, are outlined in the above booklet.

Step 4 - Confirmation of Enrolment (COE)

When the University receives your Letter of Acceptance and the fees described in the Offer of Admission, you will be issued with a Confirmation of Enrolment. The Australian Diplomatic Mission will not issue you a Student Visa until Australian Immigration staff receive a Confirmation of Enrolment issued by the University.

Step 5 - Visa

International Students must obtain a Student Visa before arriving in Australia. The Australian Diplomatic Mission will explain the requirements that you will need to meet to obtain your student visa.

These include proof of ability to pay fees and support yourself in Australia, and compliance with health regulations. If you have applied with the assistance of one of our overseas representative offices, that office will also be able to assist you with these procedures.

Please note: the visa application process varies from country to country. The Australian Diplomatic Mission in your home country - or local ECU representatives - can give you up-to-date information on visa procedures.
