The Honourable Alhaji Muhammad Mumuni presents Professor Kerry Cox with a Ghana National Soccer Team cap
This week ECU’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kerry Cox, hosted a visit by the Ghana Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, the Honourable Alhaji Muhammad Mumuni, his wife, Mrs Leila Mumuni, and Ms Aba Ayebi-Arthur, Assistant Director of the Middle East and Asia Bureau from Ghana at the Mount Lawley campus.
His Excellency, Mr Paul Yaw Essel, Ghana’s High Commissioner to Australia, and Mr Paul Antwi, Minister (Consular Affairs) from Ghana’s High Commission to Australia were part of the delegation, along with members of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
The visit provided the opportunity for Professor Cox, and other senior ECU staff to discuss the existing relationship between Australia (particularly ECU) and Ghana, and future opportunities for collaboration and education in both countries.
As part of the visit, Ghanaian ECU PhD student, Mr Erasmus Kormala Norviewu-Mortty was present, and had the opportunity to discuss his Australian education experience with the Minister and other members of the delegation.
