Egyptian Ambassador visits ECU

His Excellency Mr Omar Metwally and Professor Tony Watson
On Tuesday, 16 February ECU hosted a visit from His Excellency, Mr Omar Metwally, the Egyptian Ambassador to Australia.
In Perth at the invitation of the Arab-Australia Council, which ECU’s Dr Anne Aly has recently been invited to join, the Ambassador toured facilities and met with ECU staff and students, as well as members of the Western Australian Egyptian community.
His Excellency, Mr Metwally also discussed potential links between ECU and Egyptian institutions, government and private organisations with Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International) Professor Tony Watson, and Dean of ECU International, Professor Gensheng Shen.
The Ambassador said he was very impressed with ECU’s facilities, and that he looked forward to exploring further opportunities between ECU and resource organisations in Egypt.
