ECU hosts visit from French diplomat

ECU hosted a visit from French diplomat, Mrs Beatrice Chassasing, and the Director of Alliance Française, Ms Sylvie Dallier, on Thursday, 29 April 2010.

The purpose of the visit was to discuss a potential partnership between the French Embassy and ECU, particularly in the fields of business, education, aviation and the arts.

The visitors met with ECU senior staff including; Head of the School of Education, Professor Christine Ure;  Head of the School of Communication and Arts, Professor Clive Barstow; Senior Lecturer in the School of Communication and Arts, Dr David Elder; and Executive Dean, Faculty of Education and Arts, Professor Brenda Cherednichenko.

Professor Cherednichenko said the visit from Mrs Chassasing and Ms Dallier to the University was a great honour. 

 “ECU is extremely proud of its programs the in French language, which serve students in business, aviation, education and the arts.”

“We are looking forward to working with the French Embassy to identify and develop strong relationships with French universities for exchanges and international partnerships in teaching and research,” Professor Cherednichenko said.
