ECU welcomes study abroad and exchange students
As part of the ECU Study Abroad and Exchange Program, ECU is welcoming 53 students this semester from a range of countries including, Germany, Austria, France, USA, Canada, Norway, Sweden and China.
These students will be studying at ECU for either one or two semesters with the study they complete here forming part of their degree in their home country.
ECU International hosted a welcome reception for the students on Friday, 29 July at the Joondalup Campus where Deputy Vice Chancellor (International), Professor Tony Watson, officially welcomed them to ECU.
There was an atmosphere of excitement at the event, with the students keen to embark on their overseas adventure. The setting also provided an opportunity for the new students to engage with returned exchange students, their ECU buddies and ECU International staff.
“It has been nice to finally meet all of our newly arrived students as there is such a long lead-in time to them actually arriving at ECU,” said Kate Butler, Study Abroad and Exchange Officer, ECU International.
“They are a very motivated and friendly group and we wish them well with their studies and hope they make the most of their time here in Perth as well as have a positive and rewarding study abroad experience.”
