Blackboard is a web-based application that supports and enables the delivery of the University’s curricula in a flexible online environment. As a highly versatile and evolved teaching and learning platform, Blackboard provides a wide range of tools and capabilities that will allow ECU to create active, collaboration-driven learning communities, within which staff and students can engage meaningfully with unit content and each other to achieve positive learning outcomes.
Blackboard supports all aspects of a unit’s delivery online, including ongoing communications between lecturers and students, the distribution of study materials, the facilitation of learning activities and the management of assessment and feedback processes.
For offshore partners new to Blackboard, training support can be accessed through the Centre for Learning and Development.
