Streamlined Visa Processing

Edith Cowan University (ECU) has been approved as an 'eligible university' under the Australian Government Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) new Streamlined Visa Processing (SVP).

Under SVP, DIAC will process visa applicants for bachelor, master and doctoral applicants to eligible universities, including ECU, as lowest risk or Assessment Level (AL) 1, regardless of whether the AL rating for their country/sector is AL1, AL2, AL3, or AL4.

The implementation and compliance of the SVP has resulted in the amendment of our student application procedures through our authorised  representatives.

Effective immediately, you must submit the following documents with all of your applications two documents:

  1. ECU Checklist for a Complete Application
  2. Student Financial Declaration Form

We will not accept applications that are not accompanied by the documents listed above.

Commencing in Semester 1, 2013 intake, ECU will only accept student applications from our authorised representatives.

We will encourage students who are applying via a non-authorised  representatives of ECU to apply either:

  • through one of our authorised representatives (for which we will provide them details); or
  • directly through our online channels.
