Yi learned about ECU through newspaper advertising and through a few of his friends who were studying at ECU. He chose ECU because “the prospect of studying in a multi-cultural environment, of which ECU is famous for, was very appealing.”
Yi describes his course as practical. “Our course uses an integrated approach to ensure, through assignments and practice sets, that we not only learn the required knowledge and skills, but can readily apply them in our future careers.”
“The course is very well structured and units well delivered, so that many of us who do not have previous degree in accounting can make a smooth start in this field. Once we are on the right track, our study advances greatly in quantity and difficulty, providing constant challenge and motivation,” he says.
Yi feels that one of the best things about his course is that it is very challenging and gratifying. “Studying in this course is a pleasantly demanding experience and, with hard work, an even more rewarding one.”
Yi is now a Sessional Lecturer at the Faculty of Business and Law at ECU and he is set to complete his Master of Professional Accounting at the end of 2010.
