ECU Student ID cards
All ECU students will need to get your ECU Student ID card when you commence your studies at ECU.
This card can be used as a:
- Library card - to borrow books from any ECU library.
- ECU ID card - you must have your ECU student card with you when you sit for ECU examinations.
- Discount card for public transport.
- On-campus photocopying/printing card.
When you arrive in Perth, you can collect your ECU Student ID card from Multimedia Resources (located in the Library at Joondalup, or in the eLab at Mount Lawley) during Orientation. Replacement cards can be purchased at a small cost.
Proof of Age card
A Proof of Age Card can be used to prove that you are over the age of 18 when entering night clubs or pubs. This card shows your name and photo. It is available from the Department for Planning and Infrastructure for $20. You will need to show your passport and two other forms of ID.
International Student ID Cards (ISIC)
If you wish to obtain a discount when travelling by bus or train on WA country trips outside of Perth you will need to show an International Student Identity Card (ISIC) when you book your ticket. ISIC cards are available from Student Travel Association (STA) and cost $18.00. You will need a passport sized photo and must complete an ISIC application form, which are both stamped by an Officer at Student Central, and then take them to STA travel.
For more information about ISIC cards, check the ISIC website or visit an STA store. STA Branches can be found at many large shopping centres around the city such as Carousel in Cannington, Carillon Arcade right in the city centre or Lakeside shopping centre in Joondalup. A full list of every STA Branch can be found on the STA website.
