Postal services

Post offices are usually open from 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, though some suburban post offices also open 10.00am to 1.00pm on Saturdays. Mail is delivered once a day on weekdays only. Mail within Australia has a flat rate of postage (55 cents) for a standard letter. Non-standard letters and parcels are charged by weight, size, destination and mode of transport. You can pay some utility bills such as gas, electricity and phone at the post office.

More information is available at the Australia Post website.
