Orientation program
In order to prepare you for University, a range of programs are offered for 2 weeks before the start of your classes, known as Orientation.
In particular, it is essential for you to attend the Welcome Day on your campus, as this will be your official welcome to ECU and a number of important events and information will be provided that day. These include:
- Course Induction Sessions - where you will find out important information about your course
- Information stalls and giveaways
- A free BBQ lunch (including Halal and vegetarian options)
You should also attend My International Day during orientation.
Other highly recommended activities run throughout the orientation period, in repeat sessions, including:
- Unistart - a free academic transition program, consisting of two modules:
-
- Unistart 1 - what you need to know about ECU's systems
- Unistart 2 - important skills to help you study and perform well in your assessments
- Library tours and Discover your Library Resources - familiarise yourself with the library services provided on your campus
Please visit the Orientation website for full details of dates and activities, and make sure you get a copy of the ECU Student Guide when you get here.
All Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) courses will start one week before other courses, with an intensive orientation program the week before that.
ECU South West (Bunbury) orientation program starts one week before classes.
