Clothing
Dress code in Australia is generally casual. There are very few times when you will be required to wear formal attire, and on such occasions your host should advise you. The general advice is to wear something in which you feel comfortable. Women’s clothing in Australia may at times appear to be immodest to some students; however it is acceptable, particularly in student circles, for women to wear jeans, shorts and brief tops. This style of dressing is simply another way in which the Australian culture may differ from your own. It is not indicative of the moral standards of the wearer.
