Visa information

In order to study in Australia, you will need to obtain a student visa.

The processing time for student visas varies depending on country. For Assessment Levels 3 and 4 countries, it can take 2-3 months to obtain a student visa, while for Assessment Levels 1 and 2 countries, a few weeks may be sufficient. We recommend you visit the Department of Immigration and Citizenship for information about the Assessment Levels of your country.

You will need to follow the steps below to obtain your student visa:

  • Accept your ECU Offer Letter
  • Pay your first semester fees and your Overseas Health Cover (The total amount will be on your ECU Offer Letter)
  • Send a copy of your proof of payment to accept@ecu.edu.au.
We will then issue you a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE), which is the document you will need to apply for your student visa.

Once you receive your CoE, you will then be able to apply for your visa student via the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.
